Hello everyone!
The holidays are right around the corner and I am already starting to think about all of the delicious treats I want to prepare. I've started decorating my house since I look forward to that every year, and I love doing it but I also am looking forward to all of the holiday baking, sharing all of the amazing holiday memories from years past and making new ones.
One of the things that I get excited to do every year, regardless of how busy things get, is baking! I love baking and coming up with a new creation that I hope people will love. There is nothing better than when your family requests their favorite recipes for the holidays and one of them happens to be you own! Best feeling ever! So this year I have already started working on a few to try out with the family this year!
I love experimenting in the kitchen to see what I can impress my daughter with as a special treat to make over the holidays, as she always looks forward to seeing what I come up with. One of her favorite things she likes for me to bake is muffins, all different kinds, over the holiday break, so I decided to try something similar to bake for her. I created something that I could also 'gift' to people over the holidays, as giving homemade baked gifts is one of my favorite things to do! So what recipe did I come up with you ask? Well, these adorable and amazingly delicious Peppermint Mocha Mini Bread Loaves!
That's right! On my last trip to Walmart, I grabbed a few supplies to make them and also the secret ingredient that made them oh sooooooo good:
International Delight® Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer!
SURPRISE BONUS!
Not only am I going to share the Peppermint Mocha Bread recipe with y'all today but I am also going to share a second recipe with you that is just as tasty! I mean these creamers are so amazing that I needed to give my second favorite flavor a try as well: Salted Caramel Mocha bread!
I mean do these look amazing or what? Trust me, they ARE delish and my daughter is so excited since we have a 'new' treat to bake over the holidays now! I love that this is a quick & easy recipe that everyone will love and enjoy baking with their loved ones as that IS what the holiday season is all about, in my opinion . . . spending time together and creating memories!
As you will see this recipe is so easy to make and you will find yourself indulging in these tasty creamers with your morning coffee, or when you are listening to Christmas music in the afternoon or in the evening as you are wrapping gifts and spending time with your kids baking. It will become a tradition that you will look forward to every year.
RECIPE for Peppermint Mocha Bread
Ingredients you will need: any chocolate bread/muffin mix + the ingredients for the mix, powdered sugar, International Delight® Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer, baking chocolate bar, peppermints, mini loaf pan.
1. Prepare chocolate bread mix according to the directions on the package EXCEPT replace the water with International Delight® Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer
2. Pour batter evenly into prepared mini loaf pan and bake according to package suggestions or I did mine for about 12 minutes at 375 degrees.
3. Allow to cool completely. Prepare glaze while they cool.
GLAZE recipe:
(for every 6 mini loaves) - mix 1/2 cup of powdered sugar with 1 1/2 tbl. of International Delight® Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer
4. Dip mini loaves into glaze and sprinkle crushed peppermints and chocolate shavings on top.
Just so you know, the glaze will harden up so you can store them, wrap them and stack, if needed. Also feel free to add a little more powdered sugar if your glaze is too thin.
RECIPE for Salted Caramel Mocha Bread
Follow directions above exactly except use International Delight® Salted Caramel Mocha Coffee Creamer and after dipping in the glaze, sprinkle with chocolate shavings, drizzle caramel and add a sprinkle of sea salt. YUM! ;)
BONUS ------> "Jingle All the Way" FREEBIE
I thought it would be fun to design and hand letter a mini loaf wrap download for you, that way you can dress up these mini loaves when you may want to gift them to people. Or perhaps you want to use them to dress up your bread loaves during the holidays. What's so great about this Jingle All the Way wrap is that you can use it as a wrap OR cut it down and use in a card holder like I did in the photo below. Bonus for being able to use it TWO ways! ;) Hope you love it and feel free to download and use! ENJOY!
Need a GIFT idea? Filling a basket with a few holiday decor items plus these mini bread loaves, some International Delight® creamers, coffee and a few other items would make an amazing GIFT for the coffee lovers on your list this year! Who doesn't love a homemade and thoughtful gift basket with items especially selected just for them!
Like I mentioned above, I just grabbed everything I needed when I was at Walmart recently! Just head to the refrigerated section of the store and you should see a display with ALL of their amazing flavors in the cooler section - pick your faves and get to baking! ;) Watch for an International Delight® in-store demo taking place at select Walmart stores over the Thanksgiving weekend and stock up for your holiday baking and coffee needs! ;) But in the meantime, check out more fun recipes here:

ReplyDeleteI am making this as soon as I can. What a great recipe. I LOVE peppermint Mocha so seeing it being turned into a bread treat! YES please!! Could be dangerous. I love the presentation too. Great gift idea for coworkers.
ReplyDeleteYou take some mouth-watering photos! I also love sharing treats at Christmastime, so I'll remember your printables. So cute! How old was your daughter when she started cooking with you? My kids show an interest, but they are younger than 5, so I'm not sure if I want them in the kitchen yet. But I totally want their help in the future!
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite things. I am so trying this. I'm putting it on the list now.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say that I like peppermint, but I don't! Having said that, this bread looks so delicious, and so festive! I do love mocha so maybe I could omit or replace the peppermint?
