FREEBIE :: Start Where You Are Cell Phone Wallpaper

 

Hello all of my friends!

Today I wanted to bring you something full of happy . . . a new FREEBIE! I mean, we are already looking at the end of the first month of the year and I'm all like 'say whaaaaat'????? . . . someone make time stand still already - just for a moment! ;)

I don't know about you but at the beginning of every new year, I try to forge ahead with some new plans for my business and some family goals. BUT I tend to get sooooo caught up in the "everythinghastobeperfecttogetgoingphase" that it ends up taking me forever! Can anyone else relate? 

So when I sat down to come up with something that would keep us ALL motivated to just 'get on with it already', I decided on a new FREEBIE for our cell phones because y'all know how I love changing them out and often! ;) So I busted out some watercolors and grabbed my lettering pens and this happened!

This design was meant to inspire us all . . . keep us going. A reminder to take what we are doing and NOT wait for life to be the perfect time. To just work with what we have and figure it out as we go. There is nothing wrong with that. So just START my friends. Just "start where you are" and see what happens. This daily reminder will help us all just START! ;)

How many of you like to change your backgrounds often? It's so easy to change them out to and if you forget, just follow these simple directions here, you can't go wrong and it will look amazing, I promise! ;)

To change your background, on your cell phone is easy, takes about a minute and I will be glad to walk you through it now:

From your cell phone, save this digital wallpaper design (below) by pressing down on the photo of the design, and a window will pop up so you can (save image) and it should save it right into your photo album on your cell phone.

Next, go under settings, click on wallpaper and then ‘choose a new wallpaper’. Find the ‘start where you are’ art on your camera roll, select by clicking on it, adjust to your liking and then hit the ‘set’ button. It will then ask if you want to ‘set lock screen’ or ‘set home screen’ or perhaps you’d like to do both. Personally I just do my ‘lock screen’ as you can see what it will look like here and I’m actually able to read it every time I get on my phone. If I were to choose the ‘home screen’, it would be behind my icon buttons on my phone, therefore not being very legible. It is THAT simple! 

Hopefully it worked for you and just so you know, I have an I-phone and this is what my settings are called, so if you have a different phone, the names on what things are called in these steps may vary a little but you should hopefully still be able to get it done.

SALE :: LOGO DESIGNS

Are you or someone you know currently in the market for a new LOGO DESIGN? In case you didn't know, I am a graphic designer and my background is in design so I love designing logos as well as what you see me doing here. I get inquires all of the time and have designed many logos for you all but I have been asked in the last few months if I ever have a sale on my logos.

So it got me thinking, as when someone hires me as their designer, they also get many options to choose from, for their logo, on the first round with me, as I want to ensure the client gets exactly what they are looking for. Often times, my clients have a hard time picking just one design and I am left with a lot of great logos that hit the design floor, 'so to speak'. So here is my idea as it may help those of you that have been inquiring about a new logo or a makeover on yours . . . why not take some of these logos and sell them to you all 'as-is'. Meaning I will share them with you and they will be at a discounted price since they are already designed and ready to go for the most part. The price will include inserting your name into the logo and of course your color palette for your biz. I will have it include MINOR changes to the logos and you will receive ONE proof/round of changes. ANY other design changes will be discussed and most likely incur an additional fee. However the savings on these will for sure be a benefit to someone looking for a cost effective way to gain a new logo!

if you have been wondering what I have been up to lately . . . 

well this is it! Logos, logos & more logos!

I started this company as an event company that handles ALL the details.

I still do that. but wanted to E-X-P-A-N-D  . .  .just a bit {for now}

so I added the 'graphic' side to the biz & have been focusing more on that.  the response has been A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! much love to all of you who have entrusted me with your logo . . . it has been an HONOR!

You may not know this about me but I went to college in Los Angeles for Graphic Design, minored in Fashion Illustration (after realizing my big 'ol dreams of being a FAMOUS fashion designer were probably NOT gonna happen-lol) and now have 20+ years of experience in the field. 

I have worked in a variety of markets within this field including newspaper advertising/design, telephone directory advertising/design, teaching at college level & starting up their graphic design department, various advertising agencies doing freelance & my last position (working for 'the man' - before the "man" decided to shut down, move out of state & lay everyone off) was for a MAJOR retail chain as one of the head graphic designers - designing everything from print advertising, logos, websites, etc.

My point in sharing all of this - is I DO have the experience & you can TRUST me to design your logo. I have designed it all from corporate branding to fun & whimsy . . . not a problem!

My goal as your designer is giving you a logo that you will be IN LOVE with!

Some customers know EXACTLY what they want & others have no idea - there is no right or wrong . . it's ALL good!

these are so FUN, as I have had numerous inquiries about this & can now say that I will do them. I am adding services S-L-O-W as I want to allow myself enough time to get everyone's done that wants each service BEFORE adding a new one.

do I have more 'services' up my sleeve that will slowly be making their way into an announcement on this blog? well you know me . . . I ALWAYS have something up my sleeve! but you can bet i LISTEN to what you ask for & work on giving you just that - at a price that i believe is fair. so be patient & i think all of your 'graphic' wishes you have expressed to me will come true soon & I mean ALL of them, all scheduled to launch little by little by the end of this year.

am I still going to be doing printables & design work such as collections, invites, stationery, etc. Of course but now I will also be sharing all of my experience in design work through logos, blog makeovers & more.
