ART PRINT :: Summer Summer SummerTime

Hello my friends! 
I am so excited that we are celebrating the first official day of summer this week, which is why this art print is so timely in it's release. Funny how that works right? ;)

Today I want to share this new ART PRINT with you that celebrates and embraces SUMMER TIME! Plus it may or may not sound like a certain 80's song if you read it in a 'singing voice'! lol Let's face it, summer is most people's favorite season and with it comes tons of fun! The parties, the vacations, hanging with friends, picnics, beaches and so much more.

As you know, I love designing and coming up with ideas for new prints for the shop to share with you all and this one came pretty quickly after a night of playing around with a few colors from my Tombow marker collection, which by the way, are great for brush lettering as well as blending. If you follow me on Instagram, then you see all of my sketches, doodles and items created in my sketch books ALL of the time! ;) I love to see the designs go from sketchbook to print and most of the time, you can hardly see a difference going from design to digital, which is a beautiful thing my friends.

ART PRINT :: Ain't It Fun

     

 

 

Happy happy day there everyone! I have been super busy this week but I am here to bring you the art print of the week nonetheless! ;) You will find this one in my Etsy shop and I hope you love it, as it is so FUN right? I inked this one in a fun blue-sy, cool color palette as it seemed to have that kinda vibe to it when I originally sat down to design this one.

 

I think this one is perfect for an office, gift to a friend, kids room, play room, a birthday or any type of party for that matter or perhaps in a classroom! The possibilities are endless for this puppy and it is for anyone who likes to have a little fun sprinkled in their life!

ART PRINT :: Save Water Drink Champagne

   

Hey there everyone! I am so excited to be sharing another new print with you today and sticking to my promise of adding at least ONE new art print a week to my Etsy shop. YAY me! I think you all are going to really like this one as it's super fun, can be used for so many different occasions and did I mention it's really F-U-N? ;)

I am loving this one in particularly, like alot. Here's why: you can use it at your next party whether that be, a bridal shower, a wedding reception, a holiday cocktail party, your friend's birthday bash, the next friends-giving get together OR you could simply put it in a frame and add it to your bar 'area' at home as it will match any decor since I inked it in black.

 

I set it up in a little bar area I have going in my home with a couple festive glasses, a bottle of bubbly, some fun confetti, cocktail napkins and some party decor. So many different ways you could set this up . . . on the wall of a bar area, on your bar cart, on a nearby shelf because it's that versatile.

CRAFT :: Easy FALL Word Art Letters

Today's fun FALL project involves showing you how to create glittered letters to use as word art in your home decorating. This project is always so much fun to create as I have a LOVE for typography, so anything with letters or creating word art is a FAVE of mine! What I love most about this simple and easy project, is the possibilities are seriously endless. Trust me, this is seriously one EASY project! Feel free to create new word art for EVERY holiday or event as it's so inexpensive to do and takes about 20 minutes to complete. I chose to do a word art design that says 'FALL' as a new addition to my newly decorated FALL mantle I worked on a few weeks ago.
 

For the supplies, grab the letters you wish to spell for your word art, from any craft store in the paper mache department, a couple different paint colors (even though I only used the one), paint brushes, some glitter and some ModPodge.

Step 1:
Simply choose the paint color of your choosing  and completely paint the letters to your word art. Did I paint the backs of mine? I did but it's not necessary.

 

Step 2:
Start by spreading (or painting) a little bit of ModPodge over one half of the letter. Sprinkle your glitter of choice over the area of ModPodge you just applied. (FYI - it was my first time using these glitter shakers by Elmers and I have to say I am hooked and NO they didn't pay me to say that but I am so impressed with these glitter shakers and will be using them again!) ;) 
Make sure to apply ALOT of glitter to make it very glitter-y as it will look better and the excess will fall off anyway & you can use it again. Then go back and repeat the process and do the top of the letters with the ModPodge & glitter. I chose to do a multi color glitter on the top of all of the letters and the bottom with the dark red glitter.

Step 3:
Allow plenty of time for all of the letters to dry.

 

Step 4:
 . . . finding the perfect spot to enjoy your new Fall Word Art Letters! I put mine on my mantle as I have been wanting to do this for awhile and love the way it looks! What do YOU think?

Don't ya just love super quick and easy crafts? I know I do as you can make the time for something like this and get it done pretty quick and enjoy it. Anyone inspired to try and make one?
