CRAFT :: FALL Leaf Trees

how to make a fall leaf tree, fall crafting, quick craft, fall leaves, mantwl decor

Today I am sharing yet another fun FALL project that is super quick. Like, takes about 15 minutes quick! I am sharing how I made FALL leaf trees to decorate one side of my mantel for fall. I had found these leaves last year at a craft store and was wanting to make something with them this year. I also love these tree forms you can pick up at any craft store as the possibilities of ways to decorate them are endless and I love that.

For the supplies, grab a paper mache tree or two from the craft store (I picked these up at Hobby Lobby), make sure to have your glue gun fired up and ready to go, and of course a whole bunch of fall leaves to glue on.

** I later decided to glitter some of the leaf tips, so if you would like to do this as well, grab some glitter and your ModPodge. ;)

Step 1:
Start gluing leaves onto your tree form (I started at the bottom). I didn't follow any kind of pattern, just more or less did random gluing to cover the entire tree form, overlapping as I went.

Step 2:
Keep gluing until you reach the top. I also added a few of the extra flower heads that I had leftover from my Fall Flower Topiary project, so I went ahead and glued these on as well.

Step 3:
If you would like to add a little sparkle (and who wouldn't) go ahead and glitter some of the leaf edges and you'll give your tree that added pizzaz!

Step 4:
Place your completed Fall Leaf Trees in that perfect spot you already had picked out for them. Mine was on my mantel, like I mentioned earlier. It ties in so well with the decor I had to go around it. What do YOU think?

I just love fall crafting don't you? Anyone inspired to try and make one of these trees? Raise your hand . . . please let me know below if you think you will try this project as I would love to know if anyone was inspired. Or maybe you have already done a craft similar to this . . . let me know what you did below . . . ;)

WEDDING :: Light Blue & Orange FALL Inspiration Board

Hello everyone & welcome to "Wedding Wednesday"!

blue pumpkins, fall flowers, bridesmaid dress idea, wedding invite, place setting

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Fall is in the air and what I love the most about fall wedding inspiration is looking at color schemes that you would not typically imagine together for a fall wedding. I am LOVING this color palette this week: soft blues paired with a vibrant orange with a few fall touches makes this a party I would love to be invited to! It's just GORGEOUS!

Decorating tables with these pumpkin and floral centerpieces set on these wood tables give it that rustic edge and add a couple votives and you are ready for your guests. This orange dress is so versatile as I can see it with a nice pair of heels or throw on a pair of cowboy boots for a country farm wedding and your wedding party will look amazing. Invites can be kept simple, like these with just a touch of fall on them with the leaves in the wedding colors - perfect for a fall event. Pumpkins are in abundance in the fall so why not paint some in your wedding colors to match? These blue pumpkins I am dying over as they are so chic! This gorgeous necklace would be the perfect gift for your girls and makes quite the statement. Dazzle your guests with a show stopping cake. This one is the perfect choice for a rustic wedding in the fall. One of the very reasons I love this light blue and orange color combo together is because they are complimentary colors and this place setting is so stunning with tiny decorated pumpkins on these beautiful plates.

Have you been to a fall wedding that had an amazing color palette? What colors were used? What was your favorite element of the event?  I would LOVE to hear the details . . .spill below ;)

WEDDING :: Falling leaves inspiration board

Hello everyone & welcome to "Wedding Wednesday"!

leaf place card, fall wedding, leaves bouquet, fall inspiration, leaves on cake
  ::  placecard   ::  boutonniere  ::  cake  ::  centerpiece  ::  initial  ::  sparklers     ::  invite

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This week's theme is all about falling leaves. The leaves are changing everywhere around me and it is my most favorite time of year. One of the things I love most is the change in colors. The palette of colors that you can see on trees right now is just breathe taking, so alas, my inspiration for this week. Enjoy!

I am in so in love with the idea of writing the names of your guests, on leaves, and using them as placecards. It's a beautiful way to incorporate leaves into your fall affair. Carrying a bouquet of flowers accented with some vibrant leaves intertwined, creating a boutonniere for your man or designing a gorgeous display of flowers & leaves to use as centerpieces on the tables is the easiest way to celebrate the season. Love monograms? . .then this idea to create an initial with leaves adhered to them, is an amazing idea in using your new initial on your special day. Your guests will love lighting the night with sparklers from this quaint little basket adorned with some fall foliage. Make sure to set the tone of the day & evening by incorporating leaves into the invite you send out. Remember it is the first hint of what an amazing time your guests will have when they come to your fall wedding. ;)

Have you ever been to a fall wedding? Did YOU have one or are you planning one? Did they have leaves everywhere? What was your favorite element of the event?  I would LOVE to hear the details . . .spill below ;)
