Tropical House Special

Hi, it’s Jessica from Everyday Party Magazine sharing a Summer Sips Recipe. 

1 oz Cruzan Coconut Rum

1 oz Blue Curacao 

4 oz cut pineapple

6 oz fresh orange juice

1 cup of ice

Pour all ingredients into blender (or if you have a Margaritaville, add all but the ice to the jug, and add ice as normal) 

Blend for 60 seconds or until smooth (or until the Margaritaville is finished) 

Pour into your favorite {pool safe} Tervis cup, garnish with an Eye Candy Creative Studio drink umbrella, enjoy, and repeat! 

Optional: add a shot of Malibu Red tequila rum blend as a floater.

SIPS :: Skinny Pineapple Smoothie

Skinny Pineapple Smoothie

It's that time of year and I love making cool refreshing drinks to keep me feeling cool and relaxed. Today I am sharing one that is delicious and easy to make plus if you love the tropical drinks, this one is for you. 

Skinny Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup frozen pineapple

1/2 medium banana

1/2 cup crushed ice

1/2 cup vanilla greek yogurt

1 1/2 cups fat free milk OR coconut milk

Instructions:

 Add pineapple, banana, yogurt and ice to blender.  

Add 1 cup of milk.  

Pulse until mixture is smooth.  

Add more milk until desired consistency.  

Pour into glass, add your umbrella and enjoy!

If you would like to enjoy this smoothie as a cocktail instead, simply add a shot of your favorite rum before blending.

FREEBIE :: Summer Drink Umbrellas

It's the middle of SUMMER and everyone is enjoying more activities outside on these warm summer nights. One of my favorite things to do in the summer, is to enjoy a nice refreshing cold beverage whether it be a mocktail or even a cocktail to enjoy.

I have a fun FREEBIE for you to today that I think you will enjoy alongside those tasty drinks you are making this summer. How about some FREE drink umbrellas!

Not only do I have the FREE download for you, but I am going to share with you how to make them!



Step 1: download & print the file for the FREE drink umbrellas and cut the circles out

Step 2: next lightly pinch the center to find the middle and then take your scissors and cut to that point in the center

Step 3: then grab a hole punch & punch a hole in the center. It should look like the second photo below when done. 

Step 4:  the last step is to grab a straw, wrap the umbrella around it & tape it down.

Wedding :: Plum and Mint Inspiration Board

Hello everyone & welcome to "Wedding Wednesday"!

This week's theme is all about spring coming. It should be here soon (even though all the snow on the ground here says otherwise) so we can only hope . . .so today we are celebrating plum meets mint & how amazing they look together. I love these two colors together because they can look vibrant and rich together using those deep plums or lighter for a nice casual color palette.

These flowers have so many amazing shades of plum intertwined that make for just the right blend and would be stunning against a white gown, mint bridesmaids dresses or sitting on tables at the reception. Tassel tissue garlands are all the rage right now and make for an inexpensive way to decorate but carry quite an impact around a venue. You can dress up tables, walls, backdrops with these and they make everything well . . .more fun! Your bridesmaids would love these earrings accented in gold which would also make the perfect thank you gift for them. Serving a signature drink is always appreciated by your guests but not all cocktails have to contain alcohol, you can also offer one without, like a colored lemonade using one of the wedding colors. Have your cake make an impact by choosing flavors for the layers that your guests will enjoy and of course, match the wedding colors too. Have a jar of coordinating straws at the bar for your guests to use with their drinks, who doesn't like a festive drink? Need mason jars for your tables? . . . spray paint them in your wedding colors and add flowers for the easiest but stunning, flower arrangements.

This month is important for ALL of us. It's breast cancer awareness month, so in keeping with the PINK theme that is goin on, I decided to share this GORGEOUS & very PINK, inspiration board with you today.

Paper lanterns are a must at every event, if you ask me, as they add so much fun to your party. This pink bouquet is simply stunning against a PINK dress . . . can you believe all of that gorgeous-ness? {sigh} . Using a picture frame painted in the color of your wedding & then placing the seating assignments in it, is a genius idea to keep organized guests all while looking very pretty. A signature cocktail in a bottle . . .yes please! The pastel pink tie with the grey suit is a dream choice for your man to wear - it is simply stunning together. Candles, flowers & that gorgeous table cloth make for quite the statement at the reception & is an amazing way to glam it up at your reception.
