Happy (almost) Thanksgiving my friends!

I just wanted to stop in real quick before you get knee deep into all of your Thanksgiving preparations and let you know that I am here to help you out. How you ask? With a FREEBIE, of course!

I absolutely love this time of year and this holiday especially, as it makes us all stop and pause and focus on what really matters this time of year . . . being thankful. I know for me, family is soooooo important and I value any time I get to spend with them these days as everyone is so busy so getting to share a meal with the ones you love . . . well that is a treat in itself.

So I designed these 'Thankful for . . .' cards as a way to take a look at where we are and what it is we are so thankful for. I started this tradition in my own family when my daughter was younger and I can honestly say that it is now a tradition in our little family that she looks forward to every year. That, right there, makes it ALL worth it, when your kids look forward to a simple tradition - my momma heart smiles BIG! And maybe, just maybe, she will continue this tradition when she has kids of her own. ;)

The design has a hand lettered 'thankful for' with a gorgeous floral-ish motif background and plenty of lines for you to write down all of the things you are thankful for this year! As you can see when you print out this FREE Thanksgiving download, they will come four on a sheet so print accordingly.

Simply place one of these cards at every person's place setting around your table. Explain to them they are to write down a few things they are thankful for and you will all share them at some point during the dinner. Perhaps you are having more of a buffet style dinner since you are feeding a larger crowd, no problem I have the best idea. Print out a few sheets of these, cut them out, punch a hole in the corner and tie a ribbon to them and place on a small tree in your home or clip them to a ribbon strung on the wall over the dessert table and read them all later after dinner. Whichever idea you decide to do, feel free to have fun with these and I hope this turns into a tradition you come to love every year.

  1. I just love cards like this. My grandma not only used cards and note cards to write her recipes on but she also wrote in the church cookbooks on the front flap and anything extra she added to each recipe. I love those.

  2. These Thankful Cards are so beautiful! What a great tradition to start with your family for the Thanksgiving Holiday. While I know that my family reflects on what they're thankful for, it is always nice to write them out and share them.

  3. I love this idea. We were just discussing what we were thankful for at our women's meeting last night. We just couldn't use family, shelter or food as one of our items. It was challenging but insightful.

  5. What a sweet and decorative way to pay thanks this holiday season. Sometimes it is hard to go around the table and say what we are thankful for. This makes it easy!
