ART PRINT :: Love Is Sweet

 

Hey there everyone, today I am bringing you a new hand lettered art print for the week! I am loving this tradition of adding a new print every week to the shop and hopefully you all are too. It's so much fun trying to decide on which design to add every week, it's hard to pick just one sometimes! 

 

I decided to add the 'Love is Sweet' print this week because I was asked recently if I had some hand lettered art prints that could be used for a wedding or shower. Of course I love to hand letter something new but honestly I already had hand lettered this one and knew it was time to add this to the shop. The fact that today is of course 'wedding wednesday' around the web, may have had something to do with the timing as well;) The great thing about this print is that it could definitely be used at not only a wedding reception, with the candy bar but a bridal or baby shower, an anniversary party or even a few holidays like Sweetest Day or Valentines Day.

ART PRINT :: Blessed

     

Hello everyone and welcome to another week into the fall season. Hopefully y'all have been enjoying cooler temps and having some fun decorating for the fall season. I am loving the cooler temps lately and have been working on some new art prints for you all. Art prints are the perfect accessory to finish off an area you have decorated as you just print, frame and display! Plus it adds so much visual impact when you add it to the decor in your homes. 

 

This particular hand lettered art print would be the perfect addition to your every day decor as most, would consider themselves blessed on a daily basis. It also would look fabulous with your Thanksgiving decor since that is the one day a year that everyone shares in being thankful for the things they have. Perhaps displaying this at a baby shower is another great option, as most people consider themselves blessed to be bringing a child into this world and for a lot of them, the road doesn't come easy, so this would be a great sentiment for them.

 

The great thing about most of the hand lettered art prints I have designed is that they will match various color schemes so it makes them more versatile for many occasions. This one is done in black ink with a gold-ish vine pattern that adds some visual interest.

FREEBIE :: Fall Gift Tags & Toppers

Fall is in the air and it makes me soooooo happy! I am so looking forward to all of the goodies of the season . . . outdoor festivals, crafting, baking, all of the great smells, the leaves changing, cooler temperatures and the start of the fun holiday season! This is by far my fave time of year, as it is for many and I love looking forward to all that this time of year brings with it.

Today I am sharing some fall inspired designs with you, that you can save and use when you need them. I have designed fall gift tags and toppers that are great to have handy for when you need them. Use the gift tags to attach to a gift or anything that you are gifting to someone plus they have room for you to write a personal message as well. The toppers are useful for smaller gift tags or use them to dress up a food table or a meal by adhering to a toothpick or lollipop stick. They're also fun to dress up a box or gift bag by simply taping it on the outside of them. There are so many great uses for both of these and I hope you get a chance to use them this season.

ART PRINT :: Hey Y'all

Hello. Hi. Hey Y'all. Yes I say y'all and I am from Ohio. I know, I know what gives you ask? I have noooooooo idea but I have always said y'all and it throws everyone off because I do NOT have a southern accent so it's a surprise to everyone when it comes out of my mouth. I think it's hilarious. It's just such a fun thing to say, 'hey y'all' . . . or 'when y'all coming over?' . . .  or 'what's up y'all?' 

 

So naturally I decide to put it on my list as a 'must' ink someday and guess what? That someday is here and I am finally sharing it with y'all today! Oh happy happy day! I decided to ink this one in metallic gold from the get go because everyone is soooooo in love with gold. So you're welcome. I for one, am not a fan of the 'gold' but ya know, I have always loved what everyone else is not loving. Personally I am a silver girl or even a copper but gold . . .yeah not so much! When everyone was doing this, I was doing that. Yup one of thoooooose people! ;)

 

But I still love using gold in my designs as I love the way it looks with certain colors. Speaking of which, I just love the way it coordinates with this new color confetti from The Flair Exchange. I mean seriously look at the greens, gold and I am a sucker for pale blush . . .it's so pretty for fall.

CRAFT :: Simple Idea for a Random Act of Kindness

Have you ever paid it forward? You know the idea of doing something really nice for someone else, usually in the form of paying for a stranger's meal or coffee at a drive-thru? It's called a Random Act of Kindness or 'RAK' for short, and I believe we all need to be experiencing more of this. Maybe you have benefited from someone doing this for you! Can you remember how that made you feel? . . . how would you like to pay it forward for someone else? The point is, when we do an unselfish gesture, it not only makes us feel good but it starts a 'pay it forward' mentality where more people get to feel good! Plus I am going to share a few tips on why it doesn't have to be hard and it can make all the difference for someone else.

The reason I am sharing this as I have been wanting to do a RAK lately and just couldn't quite figure out what to do. Sometimes things hit you in an unlikely place . . . like on my latest visit to Sam's Club. I was there picking up a few items we needed and I look over at the Sam's Cafe and see a sign, then it dawned on me . . . do this. This dinner idea! My niece recently was released from the hospital following an accident & I would love to take this combo over to them so they can worry about one meal less. Sometimes people need help more, about a month afterwards so it would work out perfectly. So my idea is to offer this combo as a RAK meal to my deserving family. So we purchased one and took it home and had it for dinner!


 

What? You are probably thinking WHY did YOU take one home? Well I had to test it first! (wink wink) and we needed dinner last night! Seriously though, it was so good and my daughter really wanted to take one home so we are going back tonight to pick up a Sam's Club Coke & Pizza Bundle for my niece and delivering it to her!

But before we do, I had to see just how I could make the packaging and presentation look fun for them but easy enough that we could assemble while in the car because we want to make sure it's still hot when we deliver! So I came up with a few easy ways to dress up the combo from Sam's Club that you too, could very easily duplicate . . .

1. Grab some washi tape, scissors and bakers twine plus your Sam's Club items to be decorated.

2. Your cookies will come in this cute brown bag and to give it a little extra love, simply grab a couple pieces of washi tape and seal it up. Simple but cute. The best part . . .done!

 
3. I will be taking some cups, straws, napkins and paper plates along with this combo so I think a simple drink flag could be made ahead of time to add a little pizazz to their drinks! Just wrap a piece of washi tape around the straw and trim, that's it!

4. Next up this easy washi tape bunting that only requires a couple minutes of your time but will have a very festive impact! Simply cut a piece of bakers twine or ribbon and tear off pieces of washi tape (doesn't have to be measured, just wing it as it's more authentic that way), wrap the piece of tape around the twine & then I cut them on an angle & done. Instant cute bunting for the outside of your pizza box and cheesy breadstick box! The great thing about this, is you can make this right before you pick up the combo and take it with you to attach right before delivering to your special recipient!

  

5. Last but not least, I took a marker and wrote a message on the tops of the boxes to complete the decorated Sam's Club Coke & Pizza Bundle!

It is so quick & easy to stop at Sam's Club and pick this up that you have no excuse to NOT do it! The ease of having it all done for you makes it the perfect bundle! This is the dinner to LOVE as it's ready in minutes, you just order, pick it up and GO! The Sam's Club Coke & Pizza Bundle includes: (16in) pizza, cheesy breadsticks, cookies and a 2-liter of Coke for just $13.98 at the Sam's Club Cafe. I mean how great is that!?

So how do you like the way it turned out? I love it and hopefully you will give it a try as well as it's super easy! Remember you can pick up this combo at your local Sam's Club and surprise someone with a RAK dinner! Unless . . . someone does it for YOU first! ;)
