FREEBIES :: The BEST of 2015

     

Everyone loves a great freebie and last year was no exception with me sharing some really good ones with all of you here. As you will see, some were the result of fabulous collaborations with some really great companies and other ones were just things I wanted to create and share with all of you. I hope you enjoy these freebies that I design for you from time to time and find them useful. I always try to create something fun for you to download, that you can actually give as a gift to someone or that you find useful using in your every day life. I can definitely let you know that I WILL be continuing that again this year and already have quite a few ideas to bring you!

FREEBIE :: USA Art Print + table tents

     

I've got a special gift for you today! I have not one but two different freebies for you to download and use for your next party, ya know the ones where you celebrate the good 'ol U.S.A.! Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Labor day or any day where celebrating this country is on the menu! 

I have included an American art print . . . the U.S.A. art print to download that you can print out, frame and you will have instant party decor on your food or drink table. Then make sure to also print out the U.S.A. tabletents that you can use to let your guests know what you are serving up at your next BBQ or cookout! They both are free U.S.A. party decor freebies that you can download and enjoy! 

As you can see here, I used them to write in different drink options for my guests. One that was a cocktail and one that wasn't, as it helps to know what you are serving up to drink but you can also use these to label food options as well. 

Another idea would be to use these for placecards if you were wanting to separate people at a sit-down . . . ya know, if you need to do that sort of thing. ;) This will help make it not so obvious. lol Just write in their names after you print them out and no one will be guessing where to take a seat.

FREEBIE :: MY WISH to honor 9/11

Remembering 9/11.

It does NOT get easier. 

This week, every single year I am sad. 

Sad for the fact that babies grew up without a father or mother. Sad that parents lost a child. Sad that first responders simply were doing their jobs and didn't make it. 

I'm also sad that I am living in a world that is so full of hate that someone plotted this against us. That they WANTED to do this.

AND I am sad because I feel that we are in a time that things are going to get much worse I'm afraid, before they get any better. How did we get here?

What really makes me the saddest, is people not remembering as much anymore or not wanting to talk about it. How hard is it really to take a moment and say a prayer for these people as I feel it is OUR DUTY to NEVER forget all of these people. If you aren't the praying type, then at least stop to remember those who died that day. What if it had been us? Wouldn't you want people to remember YOU?

On thing that I would LOVE to see again is the UNITY from those days and years that followed that nightmare of a day. I think because I lived through this piece of history , I share how I feel so often and why I hold it so personal. Or maybe it's just because I am so patriotic, I'm not sure.

I would like to do my part to see if we can get that going again . . .the UNITY. Even if only 1000 people read this and do this, I would be happy but can you imagine if more than that did? WOW - it would be amazing! Because as Americans, we CAN DO amazing things. We can do anything we set our minds to but we have to try, we have to start and we need to quit talking about it & just DO IT!

Every year I try to figure out a way I can do MY part in helping to remember. I was given the talent of being creative so I have used my artistic abilities to try & share graphics to help people remember this day coming up. People like having different ways to help them remember.

One year I did a FREE Subway art download . . . 

and then last year I created a Facebook timeline cover that went over really well. 

So my wish for this year is simple . . . 

I want everyone to download the 9/11 Facebook cover timeline (<------- just click on this link), download it and change your Facebook timeline cover to this 9/11 one! Can you imagine if we could get all of our friends to participate in this & light up our FB timelines with red, white & blue? Oh how FABULOUS would that be. 

This is MY wish. But I can not do it alone. I NEED your help. Will you help me spread the word and try and unite us a nation for just a moment?

{FREEBIE} 9/11 Facebook Timeline Cover Design

Remembering 9/11.

I'm not gonna lie. Every year at this exact time, the sadness sets in. The sadness of that day many years ago on 9-11-01. Every year I want to do something. Anything. I feel this way because . . . I don't know, perhaps . . . if I do SOMETHING,  . . . anything then it makes me feel like I am doing my small part to remember them, ya know. My tribute to help us remember.

One thing I have grown to LOVE about this day & am very proud of, is the POSITIVE that came out of it, the UNITY, we as a country can become when we try. We set aside everything & just become ONE NATION. Remembering the fallen heroes & saying a prayer on their behalf. Even if it's for only ONE day . . . this day, 9/11.

A couple years ago, I designed this 9/11 Subway Art print as a small token for people to remember that day as they see fit. One thing I surely do NOT want to do is EVER FORGET! It's hard. It's sad. But we are still here. The LEAST we can do is REMEMBER - always. 

So this year, I wanted to design or create something we could all use easily, to keep the memory of those fallen heroes alive. And then it hit me. Something simple . . .  a 9/11 Facebook Timeline Cover Design.

Just right click on the image below, save to your desktop & then upload as a new pic to your timeline cover & done! 

I would LOVE for you to share this blog page with your friends so they can get this graphic too & help us all UNITE for the anniversary of 9/11! Can you imagine seeing everyone's Facebook covers with this on it . . . how cool would that be . . .to see that UNITY again? Let's make it happen & UNITE for that one day, so people will always remember.
