TEAM Eye Candy!!!
I am so thrilled to introduce you to my brand new TEAM Eye Candy blog contributors!
I want to THANK YOU all who responded & sent in emails "applying" for a position. I wasn't sure how many I would add to my team as I had no idea how many (if anyone - lol) would send anything to me. I am beyond humbled at the talent & people who sent an email to me. Every single one I wanted to add, but I could only add so many right now. I am thinking I **may** be over my limit already but hey . . . it's MY blog right? I can have 100 people if I want. haha
But seriously, ya'll HUMBLE.ME.SO.MUCH!!!! xoxo
So here we go . . . the new members of the TEAM Eye Candy family! Welcome!

Dessert Contributor: Erin Heflin
from Whip It Good Cookies
I'm Erin Heflin with Whip It Good Cookies. Whip It Good Cookies was created almost 3
years ago. I have always had a passion
for all things creative. I can honestly say however, that I never thought my
creative passion would lead me to baking and decorating cookies. While I was on
maternity leave with my youngest son in 2010, I discovered a world full of
creative and inspiring women on the internet that were doing all of the things
that I love to do and blogging about it. It was through my blog-stalking that I
ran across a picture of a decorated cookie. I immediately thought to myself,
"I can do that." So I did.
I purchased a few supplies, researched,
played around with numerous recipes and messed up a lot of cookies before I
figured it out.
Here I am almost 3
years later and now I get to inspire others.
Before I started making cookies I was always a “brownie out
of a box” kind of girl. My husband would
attest to that. :) It wasn't until I fell in love with the idea
of decorating cookies that I really took an interest in baking and learning
more about good ingredients, etc. I now
love to bake cupcakes, cakes and cake bites too.
Being a wife and a mommy to my 2 young boys comes before my
cookies. I also work in child welfare so
it is not until I am done with work, dinner is cooked, everyone's fed, lacrosse practice is out of the way, homework
and baths are taken care of the kids are in bed, that I get time to work on
cookies.
I am so blessed to have the opportunity to create something
that makes other people happy. I am
looking forward to sharing some fun things with you!
1. What are 3 things you MUST have when throwing a party?
~ I love having a backdrop to the
desert table
~ Home made decorations - there are so many things that can be made
at home to add special touches
to the party
~ cookies! - cookies are a great
addition to the dessert table or to use as favors
2. Please share 3 random facts people may not know about you:
~ I am a
paper goods hoarder; I have kept all of the party paper goods (plates, napkins,
invites, etc.)
from my all of my boys' parties

every episode (who hasn't) and will always watch it when a rerun is on

a degree in criminal justice; all my life, I wanted to be a police officer

Dessert Contributor: Kimberley Mulla
from Kimberley's Kitchen
My
Mom gave me my first cookbook when I was six years old. I have been baking and
cooking ever since.
Now
a mother of two children, I have launched my food business, specializing in
artisan marshmallows and confections. I am passionate about quality food and the
environment. I want to sell a product that I would feed my children. The
ingredients are simple, often local, organic and fair trade as
well.
I
live with my husband and daughters in Telkwa, BC-
a village outside of the small town of Smithers. We moved to the beautiful
Bulkley Valley to enjoy life, local food, and live our dream. I love making
marshmallows. Every single one. It brings me so much joy to create something
unique, tasty, and delightful.
1. What are 3 things you MUST have when throwing a party?
~ 3 things I must have: paper napkins, marshmallows, and loot bags!
3 things I
recommend for everyone: paper napkins, easy, fuss- free food, and
music
2. Please share 3 random facts people may not know about you:
~ I used to be an actor
~ I am claustrophobic
~ I love the Beatles
3. What has been your FAVORITE party you have thrown to date?
~ One of my favorite parties was when Olivia, my youngest, turned one and Georgia,
turned 3. We had a picnic in the park and the theme was A Very Hungry Caterpillar because it is one of our favorite books. The best part- hiring a
professional photographer. You don't need to spend a lot of money, there are
lots of new photographers looking for experience who won't charge very much but
I can tell you it is entirely worth it. The other thing I love about this party,
is that it is a REAL party, not a styled photo shoot. The photos from this party
captured real people celebrating and I think it made it so much more
beautiful.

Hi there! I am a stay at home mom living in Hershey,
Pennsylvania, also know as the sweetest place on earth!
I love creating memory
books and cards and would spend my whole day scrapbooking, but I do need to
make time to take care of my family. You
know, those fun things like laundry, cleaning the house, etc. My family consists of my wonderful husband,
Rich; my son, Patrick, who has a serious Minecraft addiction; and my daughter,
Caroline, who is our dancing queen. We
also have a black Labrador retriever, a crayfish and a guinea pig.
In addition to my love
of scrapbooking, I work a few hours at our local scrapbooking store. It’s a dangerous place to be, if you know
what I mean! I also am quite involved
with our school district. I am a
substitute secretary and I volunteer in the school’s libraries. I love the energy at the school and seeing
all of the smiling faces of the kiddos.
They ALWAYS put a smile on my face when I am there.
Back in March, 2012, I
had the privilege of going to NYC as part of Martha Stewart’s Dreamers into
Doers to attend some workshops and the live taping of her show. It was such a joy to meet lots of wonderful
entrepreneurial women. What a great
experience it was!
1. What are 3 things you MUST have when throwing a party?
~ small group of friends, delicious desserts, and great music
2. Please share 3 random facts people may not know about you:
~ I hate to get up in the morning
~ would be happy to live on desserts
~ love to scrapbook all day long :)
3. What has been your FAVORITE item you have created to date?
