{Mod Damask} Christmas Party / Recognition Dinner

Hello
Just wanted to take a minute to show you this party I had the honor
of being a part of designing & planning over the holidays.
It was for a client who worked for a teen center &
they were hosting an awards/ recognition dinner Christmas party.
They came to me, to have me plan, design & set-up all the decorations, create centerpieces & make a candy bar / dessert table for this event.
What a blast it was trying to come up with some ideas
for centerpieces & the dessert table. You all know how I just LOVE
to "get my craft on" & make centerpieces in stead of just
purchasing something. Take a look . . .

My inspiration was to do the event in Christmas colors
but NOT the "typical" Christmas-y look. So I thought damask is
so classic (+ my FAV) and use a touch of red.
After talking with the client she loved the idea but wanted me
to add a touch of purple (since that was the teen's center color)

I created the centerpieces above for the tables & used some boxes (below)
wrapped as gifts to coordinate on the tables. And what's an event
without some tissue poms - I was so excited when I found
DAMASK tissue paper!! Also (above) is a custom banner created
that said "you are STARS!" to honor the people that put
in so much time at the teen center.

Here's a couple different versions of the centerpieces I created.
She told me after the party that the guests were "fighting" over
who got to take them home! (yay - they LOVED them!)

Then the dessert bar . . . AHHHH - I wanted to offer a good variety
PLUS try to keep most of it matching the color scheme.
SO besides the candy - I baked mini OREO cupcakes
& made a marshmallow pop tree.

Made the custom damask cones to match & for
something a little different.

CUSTOM mini nugget candy bar wraps to match the theme

And here is the marshmallow pop tree - this was the focal
point of the candy & dessert bar! Very FUN! =)

Hope you enjoyed these pics. Stay tuned for more party pics!
xoxo laura =)
