Teaching is one of the most rewarding and challenging
careers. In my opinion, teachers never
get the recognition they deserve. I
remember my favorite teacher, Miss Hoag.
She was my mentor in 5th grade. I will never forget the kindness and
dedication she showed me. 8)
In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week I have a fun DIY
Craft.
A Mini- Note Stand
This project, like most of my projects, is very affordable
and can be adapted in other colors and patterns.
I started out with this adorable unfinished wooden clipboard
from a craft store (Cost $ 1.00). What a bonus it doubles as a “stand” since it
has a peg that goes into the back of it to make it stand up!
I choose to go with a black chalkboard look in case the
teacher wanted to write notes on it or use it for a calendar.
After painting it and letting it dry, I used my Silhouette
SD machine and put the words NOTES and a few cherries at the bottom. If you don’t have access to a silhouette machine,
no worried, you can also use washi tape or other embellishments (hot glue them
on).
Add a clear bag, piece of chalk and a tag from the Teacher Appreciation Party over at Laura’s shop and there you have it. Cute, budget friendly and so usable!
Until next time – Party On Friends!
