Hello there and welcome to MAY!!!

We love the month of May around here as it is MY birthday month! So in case you are wondering, you have about 27 days left to shop! lol I'm trying to figure out a fun way to celebrate my birthday this year so if you have any fun suggestions, please let me know in the comments below.

We also get to celebrate the mommas too this month! YAY! I always love hanging out with my daughter and momma as we have an epic 'girls day' plus always have the best time!

FREEBIE :: Spring Floral Cupcake Toppers

Hello everyone!

I am back today to share another FREEBIE that I designed recently that was a super fun project to work on! I was looking to do some designs with a watercolor look, something that involved flowers plus of course a little hand lettering action!

This time of year has so many opportunities to use something like this whether it be a springtime casual get together, Mother's Day, a birthday party, a graduation celebration, a fun tea party and more! 

You can also have some fun with these and use them to adorn the top of a cake or a pie because they are not just for cupcakes! ;) You could create a whole garden of flowers with this freebie and have the perfect centerpiece for a garden party or tea. Use some of the flowers as tags to attach to party favors or use them as namecards . . . lots of ideas for their use, don't you think? Sometimes we just have to think outside the box.

So I give you these fun FLORAL CUPCAKE TOPPERS!

These spring floral toppers are so easy to use:

1. gather your supplies: cupcakes or baked good of choice, toothpicks, scissors, tape, drinking straws and the print out of the cupcake toppers.

2. Cut out all of the flowers, grass, stems and hand lettered words from the print out and remember the cutting part does NOT have to be perfect nor right on the lines. Look at mine, I preferred to keep a little white space around my artwork and I like the look of it.
 

3. If you like to use the drinking straws (like I do) to add a little bit of pattern play and color, then cut them in half or use a toothpick and simply tape the art onto it. Repeat until you have them all done.

 

So much fun right? You could really create so many different 'gardens' of flowers with these and have a good time doing so. How about just using the 'hello' one to give to someone as a kind gesture or a nice suprise - perhaps a teacher or neighbor? Decorate a whole cake with all of them and bring into work for someone's birthday . . . just a few ideas to get you thinking! ;)

FREEBIE :: Mother's Day Gift Tags

Hello there everyone! I have been so busy lately around here as my daughter turned THIRTEEN this week and I have spent the month making all of the plans for that epic event! I am so excited to share all of the fun soon! :)

In the meantime, I looked ahead to what we have coming up on the calendars and during the first part of May we will be celebrating 'Teacher Appreciation' week and then Mother's Day will be right after that.

Since I am now a monthly contributor for the Craftaholics Anonymous creative team , I decided to design something useful for this month's free download that you can use for a variety of occasions but for Mother's Day specifically.

I had fun creating a hand lettered design that expresses your feelings for that special someone in your life, paired it up with some watercolor flowers to give it a feminine touch and you have a beautiful gift tag! ART PRINT :: Let Go & Let God

Why hello there everybody! Hope you all are doing great and having a fabulous week. Do you ever have one of those days, or maybe even weeks or months that are just kind of a bummer . . . ya know the kind, where nothing is going your way, nothing is going right at all and it just seems like the world is not your friend, no matter what you are trying to do. Well in those moments I know I have to get my head in the right place. I have to rely NOT on myself but someone who I know can get me on the right track and get me feeling better . . . and that's exactly what I do. ;)

Today I am sharing an inspirational print with you all, as so many of my readers are people of faith, along with me, and I will be sharing some of these type of art prints from time to time and I hope they encourage you as I feel I am being led to share these with you. One of my dreams is to have a whole line of faith based inspirational prints someday and I hope to see that come to fruition in the near future as that would be amazing!

This one I am sharing today I kept simple using just a black ink with a couple accents of metallic silver. I hope if you are a person that is needing to hear this message right now at this point in your week, your life or your day, that is brings you a sense of peace.
