SHOPPING :: IKEA FINDS [Christmas]

Why hello everyone! Hope you are having a great week and are preparing for the beginning of the crazy holiday season! Have y'all started decorating yet? I am behind, as I usually have started by now because my Christmas starts at Thanksgiving every year with family that come in from out of town but I have been so busy with work, it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully when you read this I am singing Christmas tunes and decking the halls! lol

So welcome to the latest addition of 'IKEA shopping finds', which is what I share that caught my eye, on my latest trip to IKEA!!! As you know, all this year I have shared about an every other month schedule and this is an extra as I wanted to share the Christmas finds I gathered a few weeks ago when I was there! Hopefully you can get these at your local IKEA if you like them.

Once we get past the holidays I will have some fun projects from around my home to share with you using some of the products I have picked up on my trips to IKEA. I have a dining room reveal, my tween daughter's room reveal, a craft room makeover plus a few smaller projects that may sneak in before them, we'll see! ;) I DO know that I am sharing a living room gallery wall with you all within the next week here! Until then, enjoy my latest IKEA finds!


 

This room was gorgeous! It was right when I walked in and I am loving all of the pastel colors for Christmas and that couch! I love pink so ya know! ;)

I think what I love about this is the clean look. It's sleek, modern and pairs well with the copper decor accents in the back.

Now I'm just gonna throw this out there, but I DID notice an awful lot of decor in scarlet and grey! ;) Just saying! Go BUCKS! Love all of the paper decor plus it would be great to stock up for other holidays or perhaps an OSU tailgating party! lol Just sayin'

They had the cutest Christmas ornaments and these little birdhouses were my favorite!

Look Santa is a BUCKS fan! Ok, okaaaaaay I WILL stop now! haha But seriously isn't this decor adorable? And that reindeer is so quirky!

This hanging wreath would be a great addition if you had the perfect spot!

They had lots of garland, flowers and other little decor around the store that was so festive. AND I may have bough quite a bit of their garland as it was super spot, bendable and the price was great!

Copper accents and metallics are having a BIG moment, so if you are loving the copper, you will love some of these decor items!

It wouldn't be the holidays without an IKEA luminated star!

Lots of decorated trees around the store to get ideas plus they have trees for sale if you are in the market!

IKEA :: Design & Dine Event + Shopping [Oct. edition]

Hello everyone! Hopefully you all had a fab weekend and if you are anything like me, you may be thinking you could have used an extra day on the weekend, am I right? ;) I did have a fun weekend as one of the things I got to do, was attend an event at my local IKEA that I was invited to. They were holding a special event called 'Design & Dine' that showcased some of their food department offerings and allowed guests to try various items that they have available to purchase, in the hopes that people would fall in love with their food department just like they have the shopping side of IKEA. I also finally got to meet the sweet person I have been communicating with in their PR department, that contacted me about coming to this event and while I was there, we had the chance to discuss some ideas we are planning to collaborate on and of course I will be sharing them here with all of you when the details are all worked out but it IS exciting!!!! I just want to say THANKS again to her for the good time, kind words and of course I am looking forward to our partnership going forward, as we will have some fun! ;)
 
Like I mentioned, this event was called 'Design & Dine' and had six stations all featuring different items from Sweden. They had different cheeses, crackers and jams at one station and my fave from here was the multigrain crispbread - so good. Smoked salmon and veggie meatballs at another. They also created some amazing drinks with a few of their signature syrups including the elderflower drink which was so refreshing. Guests were invited to a certified coffee station, as they believe in making sure it's coffee is produced responsibly and sustainable. The ever popular dessert table featured candy from their 'new-er' self-serve candy station, they added to the food department alittle while ago, as well as various cookie options. I love the fact that their candy is free of GMOs, high fructose corn syrup, trans fat and the colors come from nature. I mean if we are going to indulge, this IS the way to do it! We had a great time, everything was so good and if you ever have the pleasure of catching one of these event at your local IKEA, I suggest attending and trying something new. You never know, you may end up liking something different, I did. ;)

One of the reasons I love IKEA so much is their design team is awesome and never ceases to amaze me. (I can't wait to meet them!!) While at this event, each station had 'food art' hanging overhead or on the wall that reflected the station and I was blown away with some of the creative ideas! They were too cool! Check these out! I think this coffee art made of coffee beans and then of course this candy lamp were my faves!

Since I was already there (twist twist of my arm) I took advantage of the time to walk around afterwards to see what I could find, plus I really DID 'need' a few things! ;) Check out what grabbed my attention on this trip!

This space is full of color which makes it so fun. AND I am kinda digging those tables - I am in the market for something different in my living room so maybe . . .

This wall is simply amazing styling! I mean seriously . . . a slipper wall - how cool is that? And the colors, the soft palette is so pretty!

This color combination of the steel grey and blue together was gorgeous plus the fun accessories!

Loving these NEW items that had. This first shelf is a white wash finish and would match some cabinets I have in my craft room. However these last two, I may NEED these to be a part of my office makeover. ;) LOVE!

This. This right here is a tribute to our local boys . . .the Cincinnati Bengals, who just happen to be 6-0! Who-dey!

SHOPPING :: IKEA finds [September edition]

   

Hey there everyone and welcome to the latest addition of 'IKEA shopping finds', which is what I share that caught my eye, on my latest trip to IKEA!!! As it is turning out, I've decided to update you on what IKEA is carrying about every other month for now, as you all know it is one of my most favorite stores and I am fortunate to have one within a half hour from me so ya know, I may visit it quite often.

I snuck in a trip the last week of September but haven't had a chance to share with you until now. While I was there, I couldn't believe that they actually had Christmas items out already! I may or may not have grabbed a couple things as their items go fast but I will be sharing all of the Christmas finds in a separate post for you in the next week. One of the reasons I love going to IKEA is that I can shop for multiple projects all under one roof because it seems that I always have multiple projects going on at home so it kind of works for me!

Sssshhhh, I am so psyched for it and can't wait to share more deets about that, but more on that later! ;)

On this trip, I picked up a few items for a specific project I am working on, that I will be sharing here in the next couple weeks so make sure to come back for that. One of my favorite things about going, is that inspiration is everywhere, I am always snapping pics like nobody's business and am sharing it here for you! The cool part about that is I always have these posts to go back and look at even for inspiration for my projects since they change in the store every trip, I will always have them here. Enjoy my latest IKEA finds!

This area is a personal fave as I always talk about making my kitchenette area look like this but I already re-did it (which you will soon see). But loving the bench with all of the pillows that you could change out seasonally. AND those chairs - seriously fab!

How great would it be to actually have a kitchen, dining and living space that was open like this? If you have it already, consider yourself lucky. This is an amazing floor plan and loving all the ways they make it work together.

Love the soft color palette in this room set up. The lighting fixture is so amazing - almost brought it home this time but need to find a place first.

I honestly didn't 'notice' what they are using as a coffee table here until I was looking at these photos BUT I will check it out again when I return in a couple weeks as that looks like a great idea for storage + coffee table AND I just happen to be in the market for a new solution in my house. Looks like two storage bins put together back to back . . .  cool deal-io!

I am in love with the flooring in this room. Oh and the cute little cart here and those green lights -so much fun!

This table must be new as I have never noticed it before but how perfect is this table for family gatherings? Envision it all decked out for the holidays - it would be amazing!

A couple fun ideas here: the shelving on the wall, see how they utilized that space to put some wrapping paper = genius! I also like the way they stair stepped the shelves above the desk. Oh and I may 'need' those tall storage drawers on an upcoming visit, just sayin'.

If I had a need for a conference table and chairs, this would be an option. The chairs are so fun and that rug is the best! Love the shelving on the back wall as I did something similar to that for my gallery wall above my couch, that I will be sharing soon.

Check out that yellow chair - isn't it fab? Personally NOT my style but I thought it was awesome! And that table reminds me of my childhood in the seventies. Both work so well together. Very mod chic.

This closet! I mean . . .I can't even deal. Swooning!!!!!!

A very cottage feel to this set up. Perfect for someone who decorates with florals and gingham.

I kept seeing this new colored glassware everywhere and it is so pretty. I am totally getting a vintage feel with them and love the variety of colors they come in.

I really like the look here as I am feeling an industrial vibe with this whole raw wood bench and table, the black runners and if they just added some silver candlesticks or a bowl in the middle, it would be set. ;)

So many things I love in this photo. I love the light hanging over the table as I am looking for one over my dining table and the simplistic modern vibe of this one I like. And the dinnerware . . . plus I like the rug!!! Like a LOT!

Since I'm in the market for some overhead lighting, I spent some time in this department and these all caught my eye as the colors are awesome and the copper accents on this first light are so on point! LOVE!!

Loving all of the candles, fun boxes to store items in and the pillows!!!!

I spotted these bad boys on my way out and will have to check them out more on my next visit as I have some formal dining room chairs that could use a makeover and these would be perfect, I think.

Seriously? Isn't this wood cabinet like the motherload of storage? I love this and all of the tiny storage containers! LOVE!!!!! . . .you could use this for storage in so many different places.
