WEDDING :: My Wedding as an Inspiration Board

     

Hello everyone & welcome to a special edition to "Wedding Wednesday"!

Tomorrow I celebrate FOUR years of being married to my amazing husband & today, I am starting the celebrating early by sharing an inspiration board based on photos from my very own wedding. Enjoy!

My wedding colors were black n' white with a bit of damask & polka dots thrown in.

We had a signature cocktail that rocked everyone's socks off.

All of the guys wore their own suits to keep it casual.

We gifted all the dudes with their ties and brand new chucks.

Our wedding programs were one of my favorite things and such a fun keepsake.

The dancing shoes for everyone were bought from Target in the middle of a snowstorm. (it had to be done ;)

The big hit at the reception was our sundae bar. I just wish I would have remembered to get one. lol

I handmade my hair flower + all the bridesmaids. So I guess that means my 'other' business was born this day too. (Skylar Raine)

My girls laughed a LOT. My niece did the most. During the ceremony. But it's all good, that's what we do.

We had a blast taking pictures beforehand out on the golf course and a covered bridge. A favorite memory for sure! 

All the tables at the reception were named after our favorite bands.

The entire wedding party IN golf carts. Oh the stories. ;)

Wedding :: Damask & Red Inspiration Board

Hello everyone & welcome to "Wedding Wednesday"!

This week's theme is all about being classic. I choose to share classic red and damask with you as they both are so timeless. A classic red and damask wedding would be stunning! Not to mention, a certain "love" holiday is right around the corner so it is totally appropriate! ;) Classic red is one of those colors that you can do any time of year and will work whether it's for a winter wedding in the snow, to the beginning of spring around Valentines Day, during the summer for a patriotic wedding and of course in the fall matches the decor of all the changing leaves so well.

Damask. What can I say about you besides I {heart} you so. I am and will always be smitten with damask.
As you know I used it myself in my wedding and again in my beach wedding celebration and I still adore as much as the day we met! ;) I don't think I will ever tire of seeing it or using it when planning celebrations.

  The damask cupcake wrappers are a perfect way to incorporate damask into your desserts, I had cupcakes at my reception as well and people loved it. I am loving this sweet pillow that can be used to carry the rings, it is the perfect blend of damask and a romantic edge. These shoes! These beautifully designed red shoes are simply a work of art & they are gorgeous with the flowers adorning the sides of them . . . I may have to get me a pair of those for now, because those are hot, hot, hot! Cakes have always been one of the best ways to incorporate your theme and this cake makes a definite statement of class with the red flowers streaming down the front of this four layer beauty. Dresses do not have to be complicated and this little red number is the perfect length to wear to a wedding as a guest or even have your girls choose these as an option as they will surely get to wear them again since they are a simple yet classy design. Set the tone for your wedding with the invite by sending a statement invite that exudes a taste of what your guests can expect from your celebration. The guys would look super stylish with a bow tie in lieu of a necktie whether it's all the guys in your wedding party sporting them, the groom or even the lil guys walking the rings down the aisle. ;) This bouquet is the perfect blend of colors with a touch of damask ribbon around the stems. Your guests will feel like they are sitting in the middle of a romantic movie, at this amazing table covered in flowers and candles. Celebrate true love always.

Valentines Day :: Plan a Romantic Breakfast

     

Valentines Day is fast approaching so now is probably a good time to start planning some fun ideas for that special lovefest day. Don't ya think. :) Will you do the typical Valentines Day dinner or are you looking for something a lil different than the norm? 

Wellllllll . . . I may have a thought on that. ;) What about a nice romantic breakfast with your spouse? Heart pancakes anyone? (yum . . . pancakes . . .)

The nice thing about planning an idea like this, is you can make it as fancy or casual as you like. Set a nice table for two, make some pancakes in the shape of hearts, serve them on some nice dinnerware, bake a batch of muffins, throw some fresh strawberries on a cake stand, transfer store bought donuts into cupcake liners to make them look fancier than they are. It can be simple food - it really can.

From there just decorate as you like. I made some accordion fans to hang from tissue paper, grabbed a few items from my party closet stash to dress up the table, printed out these Kiss Me Valentines printables to use & done.

I used decorative paper to cut heart shapes, attach to a stick & place in with the food items on the table. I also used some toppers to decorate too.

Little love notes will help set the mood for your breakfast . . . 

And seriously. . . . whatever you do . . . DO.NOT. forget the mimosas! ;)

IDEA :: How to use Valentines Gift Tags

Valentines Day is right around the corner so we're talkin toppers today! Ya know those tags. The one thingys . . . What DO you call them? Most people call them toppers, or like I said, tags, but I have heard them called party circles as well as other things but regardless I LOVE using them as there is sooooooo many ways you can use them, incorporate them into your next party & more. ;) 

Today I just want to share a few ways I personally use them & maybe you'll become inspired to use them in a different way. ;) I know most of you have heard of them too but maybe you don't know what to do with them beyond using it as a gift tag, so hopefully you will pick up an idea or two with this post and it will get you thinking outside of the box for using these for your next party or gift accent. 

The most obvious I think, is probably using them in party decor . . .  sticking them in the food, attaching them to a serving piece or placing them in a photo holder. It's as easy as plop 'em on a stick & you have an instant decor element. They can however be used as party of the decor or the most popular choice, as actual gift tags on a gift.

Speaking of using them in your party decorations, why not take your circle punch, punch a few out & place them in the middle of a tissue paper fan for an added touch.

Here's an idea that is PERFECT for the season . . . use these for your kiddos Valentines! Simply cut out a sheet of toppers, cut a slit about a quarter inch from the edges on the top and bottom then slide a lollipop in & boom! . . . instant classroom Valentines for the kids to pass out to all of their friends.

The last idea I have for you today is adding them in your gift giving for Valentines Day. Use them as a tag & attach to the gift. No need to buy a card, use one of these tags & consider it a wrap! ;)

Mini Love Notes :: Creative IDEAS

Who's ready for Valentines Day???  . . .NO? . . .not so much huh? . . . well that's ok as I am here to help you out with by sharing a cute idea that can be used for your significant other, your kids and even family members, that can get you a little MORE ready for the big lovefest. ;)

Valentines Postcards :: Send some LOVE

   

Valentines Day is a couple weeks away but NOW is the time to start thinking about those LOVED ONES that you will not get to see. Sure there is always time to do something for people nearby but what about all of those family & friends that mean so much who are out of town? No worries . . . that's where I come in ;)

I have these amazingly CUTE postcards I want to share with you today! They come with four different designs & would be just the thing to send out to those whom you are thinking about. Just write a sweet little note to say 'hello' & that you are thinking of them, slap a stamp on it & drop in the nearest mailbox. Simple & quick. =) You're welcome.
