LETTERING :: Celebration Decor

  

Hello everyone!

 

Today I'm excited to share with you some of the finished pieces I hand lettered for an amazing party along with the gorgeous photos. It was for one of the most beautiful and detail oriented parties I have ever seen, not to mention it was for a super special occasion: a daughter's quinceañera. It also just happened to be for one of my special friends in the blogging world Mayra, from InFlight Party Ideas. She is a rockstar. ;)
 

One of the things I love about working with her, is she knows what she wants and is very good at explaining it to me. She communicated color schemes, the 'feel' she was looking to convey, details that would help me decide on style of the lettering I did and I think you will agree, that it turned out perfectly for this event. Some of the pieces she sent to me to 'ink' on, like the cookie signs, the name tags and the frames were adorable and the rest I did on cardstock that I have on hand, if you were wondering. They all turned out amazing and coordinated so well at the actual event. She requested cookie signs, table assignment signs, names for the tables, party favor tags, a menu and more. I also had the pleasure of being asked to address all of the invites that went out months ago and loved using my calligraphy skills for that! ;) It was my honor to be a small part of this day with my dear friend and I absolutely love working for her as she creates the dreamiest parties to look at!

Ahhhhhhh . . . I just LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing pics of my work in action. I so appreciate the fact that I was allowed to share these with all of you and I thank Mayra and her photographer, JoPhoto for letting me share a few here with all of you! Isn't this event gorgeous, I knew y'all would love having a peek into this beautifully orchestrated celebration!

ART PRINT :: God is Good All the Time

Hello everyone! I have been so busy lately but I am making a promise to all of you who read this blog regularly, as I get back in my routine. I am going to try my BEST, to add at least ONE new art print a week to my Etsy shop and will let you all know when I do, through a blog post and my other social media. YAY right?!

Well a few weeks ago I had some people ask me when this one particularly, would be in the shop, which is why I did this one first. If you love inspirational art prints, love faith-based art prints or are a believer of God, then you will LOVE this print! The inspiration for this print came from some personal events in my life and how miracles happen every day to different people. This one is dedicated to those in my family who have recently been blessed with their lives being spared, from tragedy. Some horrible situations turned out for the best, thanks to lots of prayers and faith in Him.

I decided to ink this print in shades of blues as these colors are very on-trend at the moment. Plus I love shades of blue as it's so serene. This print is perfect to frame and hang on a wall, add to some decor on a shelf or gift to a person to give them some hope.

You will find the 'God is good ALL the Time' art print in my shop and I hope you enjoy it and continue to watch for more prints coming soon. I already have the next one ready to go and it will be one that you can add to your next party or a great decor piece on your bar area. It's definitely 'party' related! ;)

FREEBIE :: To Do List

You have lots to do every day. I get it, so do I. Some things you want to do, others not so much. But the one thing I NEED to survive the dreaded "to-do" list, is a fun & happy looking paper design to write on and then it somehow makes doing those things sooooooo much better! To do lists . . . love them or hate them? Hopefully what I have in store for you today will make that never ending 'to-do' list a little easier to LOVE!

I designed a list that you can print out for FREE, in the convenience of your home or office that will make creating lists so much more fun to look at! I used the yellow and gray color scheme because anything with yellow attached to it is going to make us happier right? ;)

You will receive three different yellow and gray designed sheets that you can print out as you need or print out enough sheets to make your own 'to do' list pad! This is a great gift idea for teachers at back to school time or even someone's birthday or holiday gift! Add a few fun pens or pencils and you have yourself a very thoughtful gift to give!

WEDDING :: Rose & Gold Inspiration Board

Hello everyone & welcome to "Wedding Wednesday"!

  Gold is still HOT right now and very much still on trend but one thing that is even hotter is rose gold or rose and gold together! Just think of it as gold with a twist! I personally like it better as I'm not a huge fan of gold anything (gasp!) so the rose gold is much better to look at in my opinion. ;)

  It's easy to incorporate the rose color into your signature cocktail as most wines have a blush or rose hue to them, so this one is perfect for your event. Cake toppers are one of the TOP 5 items that brides can forget about so make sure to remember this detail as it can add an amazing statement just like this laser cut 'bride to be' that would be perfect on a shower cake. Chose a word like 'love' or your initial of your last name for your reception cake. Wearing the perfect dress for the bridesmaids is key to having a cohesive look on the day of the wedding. Make sure to choose a dress that will compliment yours and fit in with your color scheme . . .this one is a complete knock out! This cake is perfect for a romantic themed event and the ruffles are very much a hot request at the moment with bakers. Having a simple favor for your guests doesn't have to be complicated, something as simple as pretzel rods dipped to match your wedding would be perfect and the gold glitter on top is the perfect touch! Your reception tables will stun your guests when they look as pulled together as these. Choose linens to match and tie in flowers for the centerpieces that match those found in your bouquet. Designate an area where guests can relax near the bar or perhaps even outside with a comfortable sitting area complete with matching pillows to create a relaxing environment that your guests will surely appreciate.

I can not believe we are looking at the beginning of August! It totally feels like this was the shortest summer ever, does anyone else feel this way? I hate that my daughter will be going back to school in just a little over a week but what can I do! We are gonna make sure to squeeze in as much fun as we can this week, that's what! ;)
