BlogFete :: Fun at a blogger convention

A few months ago I attended a blogging convention in Florida, called BlogFete. (I know I am a little behind in sharing but hey- better late than never is how I roll). It was the 2nd year for this event & I was happy that it was in Orlando as I got to visit with my brother & his family who live there - win, win! So the decision was made to go and I planned on making the most of it.

I wish I could afford to attend MORE conferences but the truth of the matter is, they can be very expensive & right now, I am not one of those lucky people that can go to all of the ones I want. {sigh} Maybe someday. ;) But the ones I do go to, I love meeting new people, networking & forming great friendships with people . . . especially those whom you know from seeing them "online" but have never met in person. I love to see if they will be how you envision them to be . . . see if the personality matches the one they play online. lol Kidding . . .maybe. ;) This particular party started on a Friday night with a super FAB cocktail party where everyone got to mix n' mingle.

Vanessa from Vanessa Grant Designs & Jessica from Everyday Party Magazine

One of the best parts about attending these conferences is the connections you make. These two ladies pictured above just ROCK and I currently am working on projects with them both. This lady below - Mayra, we have collaborated on many projects already and every time is such a joy. It is truly one of the best reasons to go, the people you meet!

the beautiful Mayra from In Flight

Melissa from Melissa Creates & Carmen from The Flair Exchange

These ladies pictured above are the masterminds behind BlogFete, with Melissa being the founder. I enjoyed chatting with all of them as they are just as sweet as can be. I do want to mention Michelle from Intrigue Design is the third person behind the planning of BlogFete but I had no photo of her & I but she rocks nonetheless. ;)

I do want to make mention that I wish I HAD taken more pics with everyone. So if for some reason you do NOT see your photo here, it's either because the quality was bad, it was blurry or I simply didn't have one. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone nonetheless & now wish I had MORE photos! {sigh}

Jessica from Pen n' Paper Flowers

Mindy from Creative Juice & Dorangela from Two Prince Bakery Theater

So excited that I got to meet Jessica from Pen n' Paper Flowers as I have been a big fan of hers for some time. Then there was Mindy who had just written her first book that we all got the opportunity to meet - what a treat that was! Dorangela she is this amazingly talented baker & is just a down to earth person whom I adore. So glad I got to meet them all.

They also had some amazing sponsor tables set up for all of us to mingle with. Below are some of them that were there or that sponsored a part of the event.

In Flight  ::  Deliciously Darling

The next day was filled with some amazing speakers, swag bags and connecting some more. It was a jam-packed FUN day!

Ashley Brooke was one of the speakers. She spoke on branding.

Alexis & Jennifer from The Pear ~ Event Styling & Planning and Melinda from Monarch Jewelry
me with Vanessa - love her!

Let's face it, one of the things attendees look sooooo forward to is that coveted BAG! Ya know the one I am referring to . . . the one filled with all the goods. Stuffed to the brim with all kinds of goodies from all of these amazing companies & people that put a ton of thought into what they want to share with everyone . . . spoil them, if you will. The SWAG BAG! It's so delicious I am tellin you . . . to look through & discover all the goodies that people wanted you to have. It's pure FUN!

So how could I NOT add to THE bag. Can you see where I am coming from with this? What's a girl to do? lol ;)

I am one of those people if I decide to do something, I want to really do as much as I can with it. For example, I decided to be a sponsor, as well as attend this event & I am glad I did. I love "giving" any chance I get & had a blast designing a cd just for this event. I worked with Melissa, the creator of this event, as she picked the songs & I did the rest. It was a nice piece of swag for all the attendees & I hope they enjoyed them.

I also made a new item for everyone from my "other business" . . . Skylar Raine, & brought everyone an item that debuted brand NEW at this event . . . S.R. pins, that can be worn attached to a headband, worn on a jacket or shirt or even placed on a purse or camera bag for some added bling.

I took a TON of pics of some of the amazing swag from this event & wanted to share some of it with all of you so you can see, how we were spoiled by all the amazing vendors & attendees who gave to it. To everyone who carefully put thought into, designed or made something and was so gracious in their giving and added something in that bag for all of us to enjoy, I say THANK YOU! xoxo

I had so much fun and hope to be back sometime again if my schedule allows. THANK YOU again to everyone who made this weekend possible: the girls behind the event, the sponsors, the people who donated the amazing swag and of course the people that went. It was great hanging out with you and I hope we can meet up again soon. xoxo

Until next time my friends . . .
